Temporary Summer Apprentice Linemen

 

West River Electric Association is accepting applications for three (3) part time summer positions. We will be placing one (1) of the applicants in the Wall office, and two (2) at the Rapid City office.  We will accept applications until the positions are filled.  The qualifications include a valid South Dakota CDL, a graduate from an accredited power lineman’s school, or have completed the schooling at a power lineman’s school and need on the job experience to complete the requirements for graduation, qualified to climb and change location on poles or towers, operate power equipment, heavy lifting, familiar with both overhead and underground operating procedures, and rubber gloving on a 15 and 25 KV system. These positions will be filled to begin in May 2019 and are for up to 1,000 hours.

Warehouse Material Coordinator

 

West River Electric Association, Inc. currently has a Warehouse position open at its Branch Office located in Rapid City, SD.  Position will be responsible for all activity involving inventory, in support of the operations of cooperative activities, out of the Rapid City warehouse.  High school graduate or equivalent required.  Applicant must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.  Must have a strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.  Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid SD Class A commercial driver’s license. Prior experience in a utility, construction, warehouse or material handling environment is desired.  A thorough working knowledge in a variety of technology products and software programs is required.
